We create, find and support Programs that directly impact the health and wellbeing of children and their families.
When a child is in hospital, families don’t just visit, they stay.
Ronald McDonald House Sydney helps families stay together,
providing essential services that strengthen families and promote healing
when a child needs healthcare.

When two-and-a-half-year-old Georgie developed fevers and became severely dehydrated, her parents, Courtney and Jamie, never imagined how quickly their lives would change. After blood tests revealed Georgie was Anaemic, further testing confirmed every parent’s worst fear she had Leukaemia.
Her family stayed with us for 301 nights.
“This isn’t just a house. It’s our home and safe place during the most difficult time of our lives. This house and all that is provided to us makes each day that little bit easier. This house is happiness in hard times and provides laughs for the kids. This house is love!” – Courtney, Georgie’s Mum
LJ was a sporty, outgoing young boy, who started to experience lethargy and high fevers. After collapsing at school, he lost his vision, and turned pale. Parents Cass and Logan rushed to the doctors and blood tests confirmed the heartbreaking diagnosis – Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
What they thought might be a short stay turned into 93 days away from home.
“My first impression was how welcoming, warm & friendly the house was. Little did I know we would form such strong bonds & friendships, which we will treasure forever.” – Cass, LJ’s Mum
Magnus’ family stayed with us for 74 nights earlier this year, while Magnus received life-saving treatment. Born prematurely at 27 weeks, baby Magnus needed immediate 24-hour care for complications with his breathing.
For mum Karina, being able to stay close to their little one during his intense procedures has brought so much relief.
“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting Ronald McDonald House in Randwick. This would have to be one of the most appreciated services provided to families with children in hospital (I can definitely say it was for us.) The House provides such fantastic, homely comforts when so far away from home.” – Karina, Magnus Mum
