Staying with us is a comforting option during what can be an incredibly stressful time. To request accommodation, please reach out to us directly. Alternatively, you can coordinate your stay through your Social Worker.  We try our best to meet the needs of all families, but please note that accommodation is subject to availability.

Priority for Accommodation

While we strive to accommodate all families in need, priority is given to those who:

• Families who live further from the hospital  
• Families whose children have been recently diagnosed  
• Families whose children have been seriously injured  
• Families whose children require emergency treatment 

Our goal is to ensure that families can stay close to their children, providing the love and support that is so crucial during medical treatment. We strive to accommodate the needs of families whenever possible, but this is always subject to availability. 

Who’s Eligible to Stay?

Our primary mission is to provide safe, reliable short- and long-term accommodation for families who need to travel away from home to receive medical treatment at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. We welcome families facing the challenge of a child’s serious illness, offering them a place of comfort and respite.

Fees

We understand that medical treatments can place significant financial strain on families. That’s why we offer our accommodation free of charge to eligible families with ill or injured children. While our policy is to provide free accommodation, you may need to complete the relevant Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme (IPTAAS) paperwork during your stay. Our friendly team is here to assist you with any paperwork and to make your stay as smooth as possible.
